2.5 S TAKEHOLDER M ANAGEMENT P LAN The stakeholder engagement plan is a component of the project management plan that identifies the strategies and actions required to promote productive involvement of stakeholders in decision making and execution. It can be formal or informal, highly detailed, or broadly framed, based on the needs of the project and the expectations of stakeholders. The stakeholder engagement plan should include the strategies or approaches for engaging with the stakeholders. It can also contain what information should be shared, how often it will be done and what are the most effective ways to communicate with the stakeholders, such as meeting calendar, performance report and project visits. Lastly, all the information acquired with the stakeholders, including their register and analysis should be included in the stakeholder management plan. The table below lists the main differences between a stakeholder management plan and a communication plan, which are closely aligned.
