Abbott Project Management Playbook
At Abbott, FEP occurs at two levels – Governance and Project:
• Governance describes the mechanisms an organization uses to ensure that its established processes and policies are followed. Specifically, capital governance refers to management’s responsible oversight to ensure each project’s alignment with business objectives (in cludes Gatekeeping, among others) • At the Governance level, gates represent decision points (go/no- go) for a project’s decision-makers. At the project level, gates represent deliverable milestones for the project team. • Project-Level FEP refers to the business and technical definition of a project to meet the desired business objectives. At Abbott deliverables are confirmed through Governance for Capital Plan and RCE gates and are required for Capital ≥ $2.5 MM
